A minor in marketing specifically for business students will help you develop critical thinking  effective communication and leadership skills that will serve you in any career. This program is a great complement to a business administration degree.

Marketing Essentials

Certificate

A certificate in marketing essentials allows non-business students to benefit from study in marketing principles, promotions, sales, and consumer behavior along with other marketing knowledge such as marketing strategy. This program is a great complement to a variety of majors including, media and journalism, strategic communication and fine arts.

Business Administration (BBA/MBA)

Accelerated Program
  Vermillion Main Campus

Business majors meeting requirements for entry into the Masters of Business Administration (MBA) program may opt to complete both the BBA and MBA concurrently. Students who pursue this fast-track option will be awarded their undergraduate and graduate degrees simultaneously, upon completion of the two programs. Permission to be awarded the undergraduate degree prior to the completion of the graduate degree is available. A marketing specialization is also available with the MBA program.

Gain Real-World Experience

Coyote Business Consulting Group is a student-centered initiative at the USD Beacom School of Business designed to help businesses stay competitive in the state of South Dakota and throughout the region. The program enables student-teams, with the guidance of faculty advisors, to help businesses solve a critical problem for their organization.

 

Coyote Business Consulting Group is intended to be mutually beneficial for both the students and the businesses. The consulting service will be offered at no charge to businesses and students will have the opportunity to receive academic credit, financial support and real-world experience. Available to all businesses, but a special emphasis is placed on small businesses, as they are the backbone of our economy.

SD Advertising Federation is a chapter of the American Advertising Federation (AAF). This multidisciplinary student organization gives members the opportunity to work with local clients, developing advertising strategies for products and services.
