Medical Physiology
My research interest is neurohormonal regulation in cardiovascular diseases, aging, and diabetes. The current research in my lab is focused on skeletal muscle derived factors. We try to understand what functions these factors may elicit in normal and disease condition, how these factors are produced and regulated, and whether and how these factors can be controlled for prevention and treatment of cardiovascular diseases, diabetes, and age-related diseases.
Our lab provides opportunities for graduate students and undergraduate students who are interested in biomedical research.
