The USD Sanford School of Medicine is accredited by the Liaison Committee on Medical Education (LCME) which accredits medical schools in the U.S. and Canada. Each school undergoes a complete accreditation survey at least every eight years. The most recent survey occurred in 2017 and resulted in full accreditation.
