Looking to gain valuable work experience while pursuing your studies? The Center for Career and Life Design can help you find the perfect internship. We offer two main options:

• Academic Internships: This is the most common type, and it allows you to directly apply your classroom knowledge to real-world projects in your field of study. Supervised and evaluated by faculty, these internships offer a unique opportunity to learn from experienced professionals and enhance your academic experience.
• Experiential Internships: These internships are ideal for those who want to explore different career paths without a formal academic requirement. Perfect for undecided students or those seeking a broader perspective, experiential internships can still be graded and often involve supervision by a Career Advisor.

• ASC 301: Job Searching in the 21st Century (Fall, Spring, Summer)
  This fast-paced, 8-week course equips you with the essential skills to excel in your job search. Learn resume writing, interview techniques and networking strategies to land your dream job. 
• ASC 101: Career Exploration (Fall, Spring)
  This dynamic 8-week course helps you discover your passions, strengths, and ideal career path. Through self-reflection and exploration, you'll gain clarity and confidence in your future. 
• ASC 192: Kickstart Life Design Seminar 
  This seminar, exclusive to students in the Coyote Career Kickstart Program, delves into life design principles. Learn how to set goals, build a fulfilling career and design a life you love.

We believe it is essential to prepare students for real-world experiences in the workplace such as interviews, internships and career exploration. The Center for Career & Life Design helps students prepare for the workplace by offering services to all students and alumni. From identifying career options to locating an internship and preparing for job interviews, we give our students the tools and resources they need to fine-tune skills and prepare for success after graduation. 

Our services offer support for students in exploring majors and careers, refining job search documents, navigating job/internship searches, interview preparation, graduate school applications, attending career events and workshops and utilizing Coyote Careers, our online job board.

Coyote Career Kickstart, funded by the US Department of Education, is available for qualifying rural students and provides tools for planning your career, opportunities to gain professional experience and a network to find jobs while you're in college.
