Supplement your music education with a certificate in piano pedagogy, and learn how to provide valuable teaching through piano.
A certificate in piano pedagogy provides an introduction to the fundamental principles of private teaching, as well as knowledge of methods, studies and solo materials. By studying piano literature and hands-on work through private lessons, you will hone your skills and prepare to teach others.
This 11-credit hour certificate requires three credit hours of pedagogy and piano literature, while students also complete eight credits of keyboard to complete the requirements.
