USD Beacom School of Business to Offer Professional Sales Certificate, Launch Sales Center
The certificate programs, which were approved by the South Dakota Board of Regents this week, will equip students with the in-demand skills needed for careers in professional selling. Training will span sales methodologies, Customer Relationship Management software and business competencies such as negotiation, communication and strategic relationship management.
The professional sales certificates can complement bachelor’s and master’s degrees at USD, and they are also available to individuals looking for professional development outside of a degree program. Students must meet admissions criteria to be admitted.
These programs will be available both in Vermillion and in Sioux Falls. The Sioux Falls option will offer a unique course schedule designed for the working professional, providing convenience and promoting professional connections in South Dakota’s largest city.
“Our aim is to prepare the next generation of business leaders to excel in the art and science of sales,” said Jewel Shepherd, Ph.D., associate dean of graduate programs in the Beacom School of Business. “Graduates will be recognized for their ability to build trust, create value and drive sustainable growth. With strong ties to industry leaders, our students will be prepared to succeed locally and serve as leaders shaping the evolving landscape of business across the state of South Dakota.”
