To help offset the cost of living while providing service to South Dakota residents, the six students were awarded fellowships through the Public Interest Network (PIN), a student-led organization dedicated to supporting USD law students who volunteer their time working unpaid summer internships with public interest organizations, such as government agencies, nonprofits and public defender offices.

The students who received fellowships, as well as where they will be interning this summer, are included below.

  • Ryan Kroger, rising second-year student – U.S. Attorney’s Office
  • Zachary Stanton, rising third-year student – Yankton County State’s Attorney’s Office
  • Konery Kluber, rising second-year student – U.S. Attorney’s Office
  • Jillian Kreps, rising second-year student – Minnehaha County Public Advocate’s Office
  • Samantha Reuer, rising second-year student – Minnehaha County Public Advocate’s Office
  • Nya Henderson, rising third-year student – East River Legal Services
