My name is Hung Hua. I was born and raised in Southern California, where I also received my education. I hold a bachelor’s degree in mathematics from the University of California, Irvine (UCI), and a master’s degree in mathematics with a focus on applied statistics from California State University, Long Beach (CSULB). Since 2015, I have been teaching mathematics and statistics at the community college level. In the Fall of 2023, I joined the University of South Dakota (USD) after relocating.
Before joining USD, I taught various remedial math courses, including arithmetic, pre-algebra, elementary algebra, and intermediate algebra. I also taught transferable math courses, such as contemporary mathematics, trigonometry, pre-calculus, and primarily introductory statistics, helping community college students transition to four-year colleges or universities.
At USD, I have taught pre-college algebra, college algebra, mathematical reasoning, and introductory statistics as a new faculty member in the math department.
I am passionate about teaching mathematics and dedicated to your success and learning. In my free time, I enjoy listening to music, reading newspaper articles, browsing the internet, and watching TV and YouTube videos.
