Professor Mays also serves as the Associate Dean of Academic Affairs for the Law School. She previously taught and served in administrative roles at Capital University Law School and Arizona Summit Law School. Professor Mays also was VP and General Counsel for a national transportation company, clerked for the Chief Justice of the Ohio Supreme Court, and worked at several international law firms.

Professor Mays currently teaches Contracts and Sales and Leases. She also has taught Business Organizations, Transactional Skills and Contract Drafting, Gender and the Law, and Local Government Law.

Professor Mays' research interests are in the areas of Stakeholder Capitalism and its impact on Environmental, Social, and Governance issues of corporations.
