- William Richardson
Contact Us
William D. Richardson was named USD Distinguished Professor Emeritus in 2017. From 1998-2017, he served as chair of the Department of Political Science, director of the W. O. Farber Center for Civic Leadership, Odeen-Swanson Distinguished Professor, and Professor of Political Science at USD. He was an associate professor of political science at Georgia State University from 1978-1998. In 2005-2006, he was an American Council on Education Fellow at the New College of Florida, the state's highly acclaimed public honors college. He is the author/co-author/editor of six scholarly books and dozens of articles. Richardson obtained his Ph.D. from the University of Buffalo.

Richardson's research on aspects of American government, political thought, and ethics has appeared in numerous journals and books, including Administration and Society, Public Administration Review, Polity, Interpretation, and Public Voices.
