Alpha Phi Events Raise Money for Womens Heart Health
Planned events hosted by the sorority include the Hoops for Heart Basketball Tournament with the men of PIKE on Sunday, Jan. 31; Health Day on Monday, Feb. 1; “Pie an Alpha Phi” on Wednesday, Feb. 3, in the Muenster University Center pit; Zumbathon on Thursday, Feb. 4, in studio room 112 at the Wellness Center; and a blood drive on Friday, Feb. 5.
The major fundraising event will be “Cardiac Arrest” from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 2, in the MUC pit, hosted by Alpha Phi and members of the Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity. It involves “arresting” prominent people on campus who must raise donations to be bailed out of jail. Proceeds will go to the Alpha Phi Foundation, which supports causes that raise awareness and funding for research for women’s heart health.
