Beacom Recognizes Outstanding Academic Achievement
On March 22, the Beacom School of Business recognized 93 students for superior academic achievement in the first annual Academic Excellence Luncheon. Students were selected based on grade point average achieved in the fall 2016 semester. 51 seniors, 38 juniors, and 4 sophomores were honored for grade point averages ranging from 3.80 to 4.0.
“The Beacom School of Business has an excellent legacy of academic achievement and we are proud to publicly honor our students annually in this event which will become a new tradition,” said Venky Venkatachalam, dean of the Beacom School of Business.
Erik Muckey, Beacom alumnus from the class of 2014 and project manager for MetaBank served as the keynote speaker and provided tips and strategies for collegiate success.
