BFA thesis exhibition Daydreameries to be on display
DeJong, of Inver Grove Heights, Minn., showcases her paintings and installations that have focused on the concept of multiple realities and layered worlds while Collins, of Yankton, S.D., is exhibiting paintings from the past two years that spotlight the psychological characteristics and motivations of people, animals and their ancestors. An element of her work was to create environments with paint and found objects. Connelly’s graphic designs using Adobe InDesign, Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop programs explore the graphic aspect that goes into designing a wedding. The Lincoln, Neb., native fell in love with weddings as a platform after being asked to design wedding invitations, programs and table settings for friends and family.
Viewing hours for “Daydreameries” are from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekdays and 1 to 5 p.m. on weekends through Dec. 6. A reception for the artists is scheduled at 7 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 3.
