Brown-Rice Honored with 2017 Addictions Offender Educator Excellence Award
Assistant Professor of Counselor Education Kathleen Brown-Rice is the recipient of the International Association of Addictions and Offender Counselors 2017 Addictions/Offender Educator Excellence Award.
"The division is very proud of Dr. Rice's accomplishments. Not only is she a very strong researcher, but an excellent instructor," said Amy Schweinle, division chair. "I am pleased that her excellence and dedication are recognized nationally. She is an asset to our division and to the students."
Each year, the IAAOC acknowledges an individual who demonstrates an outstanding commitment to the field of addictions and offender issues through teaching.
Brown-Rice’s will be honored at the American Counseling Association Conference Membership and Awards Meeting in San Francisco, California March 17.
