Family Business Conference Draws Record Attendance
The association was founded in 1993 as South Dakota Family Business Initiative, through the University of South Dakota Beacom School of Business, with the mission of enhancing the long-term survival and success of its family business members.
This year's conference featured internationally known family business expert Jolene Brown. Another highlight was the recognition of the accomplishments of three Midwest family businesses: the Al Kurtenbach family of Daktronics in Brookings, South Dakota; Scull Construction of Rapid City, South Dakota; and Robert Gibb & Sons Inc. from Fargo, North Dakota.
The 25th annual conference will be March 30-31, 2017, at the Hilton Garden Inn downtown Sioux Falls.
