More than 170 USD Beacom School of Business students attended the Sept. 7 event to learn more about the diversity of job opportunities available in the accounting field. Ten companies with offices in South Dakota promoted the accounting profession with expertise in private, public, governmental and nonprofit accounting.

Business students from their freshman year through graduate programs were invited to attend. The showcase highlights the impact accountants can make in their professional field. “Our faculty are grateful that the state society willingly shares information about diverse career opportunities with our students who are trying to decide on a career path,” said Tom Davies, accounting chair.

Companies in attendance included Eide Bailly LLP, RSM US LLP, Brandt Solomon & Anderson LLP, Williams & Co. PC, ELO Prof. LLC, KWB LLC, Beck & Hofer Construction Inc., 1st Financial Bank USA, Great Western Bank and Dorsey & Whitney Trust Co. LLC.
