New Degrees and Certificates Add to USD Offerings
Starting this fall, USD’s business school will offer bachelor of business administration degrees in innovation & entrepreneurship and operational analytics. “Both degrees were created to address growing market demand and will have a huge impact on the state in economic development and workforce development,” said Venky Venkatachalam, Ph.D., dean of the Beacom School of Business.
The regents also approved new certificate programs in laboratory science, museum and archives studies, reading interventionist and regulatory affairs. Certificate programs usually require fewer credit hours to complete than a minor. They are developed by packaging a small set of courses that allow students to develop expertise within a focused area of study, addressing identified market and workforce development needs.
