PA student from The U selected for PA Foundation Scholarship
Since 1989, this national program has awarded more than $1.4 million to deserving physician assistant students across the country. Scholarships are awarded on the basis of financial need, academic achievement, extracurricular activities and career goals.
Voigt, the daughter of Reed and Leslie Johnson, is a native of Le Roy, Minn. A graduate of Luther College in Decorah, Iowa, where she majored in biology and math, Voigt is currently in the didactic phase (14 months of classroom and lab experience) of the U’s PA program. She is scheduled to begin the clinical phase (14 months of supervised clinical experience) in October. Voigt and her husband, Beau, have two children.
