USD Announces Unite for USD 2025: Seventh Annual Giving Day
The event will take place through the month of February, culminating in a 24-hour giving day from noon CST on Feb. 25 to noon on Feb. 26.
This year’s theme, “25 Days of Giving,” invites alumni, friends and supporters to come together in the spirit of generosity and community by contributing to a wide range of initiatives across campus.
“I’m continually inspired by the amazing support our alumni and friends show during Unite for USD,” said USD Foundation & Alumni Association President and CEO Noah Shepard. “This year, we’re thrilled to kick things off with early giving on Feb. 1, building momentum toward our 24-hour giving day. It’s a moment to celebrate all the incredible things happening at USD – thanks to the unwavering generosity of the Coyote community.”
Since its inception in 2019, Unite for USD has grown significantly, with the number of donors more than doubling since the first event. This year donors will have over 50 initiatives to choose from, options including scholarships, athletics and student programs.
For the 2025 celebration, one of the key priorities is the Coyote Beginnings Scholarship, which supports students facing financial challenges and helps make higher education more accessible. The scholarship follows students throughout their academic careers, empowering them to explore their passions and pursue their dreams.
In the 25 days leading up to this day of giving, USD will highlight various initiatives and share stories of how donor support makes a difference in the lives of students, faculty and staff. Every contribution, large or small, plays a crucial role in empowering the next generation of leaders.
“It’s evident we are getting 1% better each day, and our day of giving is no different,” Shepard said. “Each donation makes a significant impact, and this year’s celebration will provide more opportunities to give back than ever before.”
