“Career readiness is one of the main priorities for the ACPC,” said Ashlin Schoenfelder, career advisor and employer relations coordinator. “Hosting events like career fairs allows our students to network with area employers and learn about potential internship and job opportunities.”

Student attendance reached an all-time high, with 464 students participating in this year’s event, as compared to 373 attendees in 2022. Throughout the afternoon, students had the opportunity to expand their networks, learn more about the employers and companies present, and explore career opportunities available to them.

The fair attracted 63 employers and companies from across the region, spanning various industries, including health care, banking, financial planning, insurance, military branches, non-profits and more, as well as USD Graduate Admissions and several graduate programs.

“Students invest significant time and resources in their education at USD, and in turn, we invest in their futures by offering on-campus career fairs and networking events,” said Schoenfelder. “We are committed to ensuring students have a positive experience with employers and putting them on the path toward career success after they graduate.”
