USD Hosts Documentary Screening of Rumble
The University of South Dakota will host a screening of the documentary “Rumble: The Indians Who Rocked the World,” Jan. 29, at 7-10 p.m., about a 1950’s Native American musician named Link Wray and his influence on contemporary rock ‘n’ roll.
The award-winning documentary explores the crucial role of Native American people in the development of American popular music.
The screening is sponsored by USD's Native American Studies program, the Vermillion Cultural Programming Committee, and the Coyote Twin Theatre.
