USD Hosts Gathering on South Dakota Energy Future
VERMILLION, S.D. -- The Center for Rural Affairs will lead a discussion on Wednesday at the University of South Dakota about the state’s climate and energy future and the importance of soil, water and energy conservation.
The event, first in a series of farm tours and community conversations, will be held from 6:30-8 p.m. on Sept. 7 in the Al Neuharth Media Center. The events are free and open to the public.
The Vermillion discussion, which will include faculty and students in the USD Sustainability Program, will focus on sustainable living, distributed generation, energy efficiency and ideas for community renewable energy projects.
