USD Hosts Panel Discussion on Flint Water
VERMILLION, S.D. -- University of South Dakota professors from multiple backgrounds will be on a panel discussion next week on issues related to lead-contaminated water in Flint, Michigan, including the role of politics, ethics, science and environmental justice.
“The Flint Water Crisis: An American Tragedy” will be held 4-5:30 p.m., Monday, Feb. 22, in the School of Law courtroom.
Speakers include Myanna Dellinger, associate professor, law; Sean Kammer, associate professor, law; David C. Lane, assistant professor, sociology; Justin Moss, lecturer, philosophy; and Rick Wang, assistant professor, chemistry. Sarah Christopherson from the law school will moderate.
The panel is sponsored by the Environmental Law Society, USD School of Law and the USD Sustainability Program.
