The rating was created by College Choice, and considered a program’s accreditation, reputation, tuition, and graduate job placement and earnings.

USD nursing’s flexible clinical experience requirements, generous transfer policy, and its cohort-based program, were highlights noted by College Choice in announcing their rating.

“We’re the top-rated program in the Dakotas,” said Kimberly Nerud, Ph.D, senior director and assistant professor at the University of South Dakota’s nursing department. “Because the USD nursing department is committed to providing a flexible online education that prepares our students to be leaders in practice, scholarship and inter-professionalism, our fully accredited online program offers both part-time and full-time tracks to meet the needs of students and practice partners.”

The University of South Dakota offers nursing programs at five locations across South Dakota, including Sioux Falls, Rapid City, Vermillion, Pierre, and Watertown.
