USD Sanford med school dean Dr Mary Nettleman elected to national Council of Deans
Mary Nettleman, M.D., dean of the University of South Dakota Sanford School of Medicine and Vice-President of Health Affairs, University of South Dakota, has been elected to the national Council of Dean’s top administrative board overseeing the Association of American Medical Colleges.
Dr. Nettleman will serve a one-year term on this important leadership board.
The Council of Deans helps develop strategies guiding service and advocacy functions, including research, patient care, and student performance and preparation for the nation’s medical schools and related institutions. The Association of American Medical Colleges represents and serves all 141 accredited U.S. and 17 accredited Canadian medical schools, nearly 400 major teaching hospitals and health systems, and 90 academic and scientific societies.
