USD School of Education and Center for Disabilities Hosts K-12 Summer Institute
“We are excited about our partnership with the School of Education to share our resources and expertise in response to the needs and requests we hear from educators around the state,” said Wendy Parent-Johnson, executive director of the Center for Disabilities. “This format provides a great opportunity for participants to come together and contribute their ideas and experiences while engaging in classroom style learning, rich dialogue, and interactive activities where we all learn and benefit.”
The three sessions cover a wide-range of practical topics including building positive relationships with families, creating inclusive classrooms, implementing suicide prevention skills and engaging diverse learners.
Hosted at the University Center in Sioux Falls, the institute is open to K-12 educators. Attendees can earn continuing education or university credits. For additional information, please visit the event website.
