USD School of Law Student Elected District 8 NALSA Representative
University of South Dakota School of Law student Josey Blare has been elected a representative of the National Native American Law Students Association (NALSA).
“I’m excited to represent USD and USD NALSA on a national scale,” said Blare. “Indian law is something our school values and appreciates. It’s great to be able to represent that.”
Blare, from Winner, South Dakota, is a member of the Rosebud Sioux Tribe. She will serve District 8 representing NALSA chapters in South Dakota, North Dakota, Wyoming, Montana, Nebraska and Minnesota. NALSA focuses attention on Indian law issues and provides a local and national network of support.
Blare previously served as president of USD’s NALSA chapter. She competed at the 28th annual NALSA Moot Court Tournament hosted by the University of California-Berkeley School of Law earlier this year. Blare is also a member of USD’s law review board.
