USD Student Awarded Competitive Scholarship to Study at Australian University
Anna Hildebrand, an undergraduate student majoring in health science and minoring in psychology at USD, is planning to study abroad at Bond University for the fall 2015 semester. Hildebrand was one of just five students selected to receive the $1,000 AUD (Australian Dollars) scholarship. The scholarship winners were carefully chosen by an external scholarship committee, comprised of advisors from universities and colleges across the United States. The committee based its selections on students’ academic merit, leadership skills, and community involvement.
As part of its strategic plan, USD is promoting study abroad opportunities for students to immerse themselves in another culture, and awards like that earned by Hildebrand are essential to meeting those globalization goals.
