USD to Host 56th Annual Student History Conference Feb 25
Graduate and undergraduate students from several regional universities and colleges will present papers at the 56th annual Student History Conference, Thursday, Feb. 25, at the University of South Dakota. The day-long conference will feature papers in local, United States, European and world history.
Professor Maria A. Liston, Ph.D., associate professor of Anthropology and Classical Studies at the University of Waterloo, will deliver the plenary lecture, “Plague and Pestilence in Byzantine Thebes, Greece,” at 12:30 p.m.
Sponsored by the USD Department of History and the Zeta Mu Chapter of Phi Alpha Theta, the national honor society in history, the conference will be held virtually from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. via Zoom.
