The celebration will take place in the Muenster University Center Pit Lounge and is free and open to the public. USD President Sheila K. Gestring and Athletic Director Jon Schemmel will be part of the festivities.

The Coyote community is encouraged to line Cherry Street at 12:15 p.m. to cheer for Krajewski and celebrate his achievements. Fans can then enter through the east entrance of the Muenster University Center to continue the celebration.

Krajewski and his doubles partner, Jayci Simon, won the first-ever Olympic or Paralympic badminton medal for Team USA. Their unprecedented run included defeating the world No. 2 Sivarajan Solaimalai and Nithya Sivan of India twice – once in group stage play and later in the semifinals. Krajewski also ranked fifth in Para Badminton Men’s Singles SH6.

Krajewski, who is originally from Yankton, South Dakota, is pursuing a degree in business administration at USD.

“We are so proud of Miles and his badminton partner Jayci Simon,” said Gestring. “They played exciting matches and displayed true sportsmanship throughout. Miles and Jayci made history for Team USA, and it’s an honor to celebrate their accomplishments at USD.”
