Whether you are a non-degree seeking student who wants to just take a few classes or considering a full-time program, we make it easy for you to register for courses and plan your schedule each semester. Non-degree Seeking Student Registration 

To experience the University of South Dakota as a non-degree pursuant student, the university offers students the option of learning under a non-degree seeking student classification. Non-degree pursuant students are not eligible for federal financial aid.

Non-degree seeking students who wish to just take a few courses may register using the online registration form. Use the links above or browse Self-Service to locate the information required to complete the form.  If you pursue a degree students must be admitted to USD before registering. Prospective undergraduates apply using the Undergraduate Application. Prospective graduate students apply using the Graduate School Application.

  1. Click on the link below.
  2. Fill out the required information.
  3. Enter the CRN#, course #, section #, course title, credit hours and course type
  4. Submit the form via DocuSign.

    Current Student Registration

    Current students should sign into through the myUSD portal with their USD login ID and password before searching for courses in Self-Service Registration. Anyone may browse the most current list of online courses and use USD's searchable course database.
    1. Click on the link below.
    2. Select a term.
    3. Enter your search criteria with USD as your university and online/internet as your location.
    4. Narrow or modify the search details, or browse through all courses.
