Beacom School of Business Hosts Three Successful High School Summer Camps
The Beacom School of Business hosted the Business Analytics Adventure, Healthcare Leadership Academy and the Summer Accounting Institute in July.
Participating students worked on business projects and heard from a variety of speakers. They also toured several businesses in Sioux Falls, including POET, Click Rain, City of Sioux Falls Data Works, Eide Bailly, SDIC, Raven, Avera Prince of Peace and Vance Thompson Vision. The students met with business leaders and learned about different industries and job opportunities.
During the camps, students were able to experience what life is like on USD’s campus. They stayed on campus in Coyote Village, enjoyed campus dining offerings, visited the Wellness Center and the John A. Day Gallery in the Warren M. Lee Center for the Fine Arts, and more.
This is the 17th year of the Summer Accounting Institute and the Business Analytics Adventure’s third year. This is the first year the Beacom School of Business hosted the Healthcare Leadership Academy.
