Delta Sigma Pi Business Fraternity to Celebrate 100th Anniversary in April
Delta Sigma Pi is a co-ed professional business fraternity within the USD Beacom School of Business. The fraternity, which was founded on April 5, 1924, has around 55 current student members and over a dozen faculty members. Delta Sigma Pi provides opportunities for students to participate in community service activities, create lifelong connections with members, and gain professional skills through workshops, guest speakers, conferences and business tours.
“Delta Sigma Pi has been impacting business students at USD for the past 100 years, and I could not be more excited to celebrate this incredible milestone,” said Elyse Whittemore, Delta Sigma Pi president and senior majoring in business administration. “Delta Sigma Pi cultivates business leaders by strengthening our members’ professional and leadership skills. Our members create lifelong friendships and become part of a vast alumni network they can depend on.”
Delta Sigma Pi will celebrate their 100th anniversary with a Centennial Gala in the Muenster University Center on April 6. The event will begin with new member chapter initiation at 3 p.m. and an optional cocktail hour at 4:15 p.m. Dinner will be served at 5:45 p.m. with a keynote speaker, closing remarks and networking to follow.
The event is open to Delta Sigma Pi alumni and anyone else who would like to celebrate the chapter’s achievements.
“The 100th anniversary celebration will be an incredible opportunity to reunite with members of all ages,” said Whittemore. “In encourage any and all Delta Sigma Pi members to join us for the celebration."
The event is free to attend but RSVPs are encouraged. Attendees can RSVP for the Delta Sigma Pi Centennial Gala online.
