Five USD Beacom School of Business Graduates Selected into SiouxFalls.Business 2023 30 Under 30
Five University of South Dakota Beacom School of Business graduates were selected as inaugural recipients of the SiouxFalls.Business 30 Under 30.

The SiouxFalls.Business 30 Under 30 list encompasses a group of young Sioux Falls professionals who show strong leadership skills, impact their community positively and are on track to creating a long lasting, successful career.
The five USD alumni on the list included the following.
- Cole Frankman, COO and dealer principal at Frankman Motor Co. Frankman graduated from USD in 2019 with a Business Administration (BBA). Frankman is passionate about process design, entrepreneurship and helping people.
- Shelby Hogue, CPA and director of corporate accounting at Sanford Health. Hogue earned a Master of Professional Accountancy (MPA) in 2016. Hogue enjoys the storytelling side of accounting and would like to be more involved in the nonprofit industry.
- Marcus Mahlen, senior vice president, partner and real estate agent & Broker at NAI Sioux Falls. Mahlen graduated in 2015 with a BBA. Mahlen’s main interests are in sales and economic development, and he is excited to continue to improve the lives of the people in his community.
- Ellie Naasz, director of community impact at Dakota Resources. Naasz earned a BBA in economics in 2016. Naasz’s goals revolve around using her interests and skillset in data interpretation, manipulation and presentation to positively impact her community.
- Katherine “Kat” Cedeño Torres, nurse manager at The Link via Avera McKennan. Cedeño Torres earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Health Services Administration in 2022. Cedeño Torres strives to use her kindness and empathy to connect with others, empower them and help them become the best version of themselves.
“The USD Beacom School of Business is proud of the early career achievements and excited to see the impact these alumni will continue to have on Sioux Falls and the region,” said Mark Yockey, Ph.D., interim dean of the Beacom School of Business.
