Ceramics Exhibition in Honor and Memory of Michael Hill on Display in John A. Day Gallery
“Connection through Function” is in honor and memory of former ceramics lecturer Michael Hill.
The exhibition features functional and sculptural ceramics for the USD Department of Art and a selection of works created by Hill.
“The department is honored to celebrate the profound impact Michael Hill has had on the ceramic arts community at USD through his teaching and mentorship,” said Cory Knedler, MFA, chair of the Department of Art. “Hill’s dedication to the craft and his students has left an enduring legacy, and this exhibition is a testament to his influence in shaping the next generation of ceramic artists.”
The exhibition is open now through Sept. 27. A public reception will be held on Sept. 13 from 5-7 p.m.
