Beacom School of Business Student Rachel Stuckenbroker Selected as PCAOB Scholar

“I am honored and grateful to have been nominated by the Beacom School of Business faculty to receive this award,” said Stuckenbroker. “Receiving this scholarship for my master’s degree is more than just financial relief; it’s a confirmation of my career goals and potential.”
Stuckenbroker was nominated by the Beacom School of Business faculty that make up the PCAOB committee and will receive a $15,000 scholarship to cover educational expenses.
Since 2011, the PCAOB has administered a scholarship program for undergraduate and graduate accounting students enrolled in accredited U.S. colleges and universities. The program seeks to benefit students who are likely to become auditors and to make a difference to students who might otherwise choose a different career path. Selected students must present aptitude in accounting and auditing, evidenced by an overall grade point average of 3.3 or higher or being in the top third of their overall class.
This year, the PCAOB announced that 685 students, nominated by their respective universities, have been selected to receive the scholarship. An AACSB-accredited university, USD was among the institutions selected to nominate a student for the 2025-2026 PCAOB Scholars Program. This is the seventh year in a row USD has been selected to nominate a student for the prestigious national scholarship.
“This scholarship is a door-opener, and it enables me to access opportunities with other scholars and continue to grow my knowledge in the accounting field,” said Stuckenbroker. “It brings me one step closer to becoming a certified professional accountant, contributing to the field and giving back. It brings me hope, opportunity and a clearer path to achieving my professional dreams.”
Stuckenbroker is currently a graduate student in the Master of Accountancy program at USD. After completing her master’s, she plans to sit for her CPA and pursue a career in public accounting.
