USD College of Fine Arts Announces 2026 Hall of Fame Recipients
The College of Fine Arts 2026 Hall of Fame Recipients include:
- Brian Mann ’01
- Courtland “Skip” Swenson ’58
- Sara Steever ’84
- Larry Johnson ’73 and Mary Jo Johnson ’73
- Graham Thatcher ’66 and Anna Marie Thatcher ’72
“I want to express my profound appreciation for the accomplishments of this year’s class,” said Bruce Kelley, Ph.D., dean of the College of Fine Arts. “They embody the highest ideals of the arts—commitment to community, to our state, and to our nation. Their service has made a lasting impact from Rapid City to Sioux Falls, and from Pierre to Washington, DC. It is our privilege to welcome them into the College of Fine Arts Hall of Fame.”
The 2026 College of Fine Arts Hall of Fame recipients will be honored at the fourth annual Celebration of Excellence event to be held on Friday, Sept. 26, from 4 to 5:30 p.m. at the Colton Recital Hall on USD’s campus in Vermillion. A reception will follow in the John A. Day Gallery.
