College of Fine Arts Announces 2024 Hall of Fame Recipients
The College of Fine Arts 2024 Hall of Fame recipients include the following.

- Carla Connors ’79
- Dale Hale ’57
- Shirley Neugebauer Luebke ’71, ’76
- John A. Day (posthumous)
“I deeply appreciate the accomplishments of this year’s class,” said Bruce Kelley, Ph.D., dean of the College of Fine Arts. “They exemplify those characteristics that are the foundation of a Fine Arts education at USD: hard work, persistence and creative excellence. Our recipients are proof that an amazing breadth of opportunities await each and every one of our graduates.”

The 2024 College of Fine Arts Hall of Fame recipients will be honored at the fourth annual Celebration of Excellence event to be held on Friday, Sept. 27, from 4-5:15 p.m. at the Warren M. Lee Center for the Fine Arts on USD’s campus in Vermillion. A reception will follow in the John A. Day Gallery.
Attendees are invited to attend the Department of Theatre’s production of “The Wolves” by Sarah DeLappe at 7:30 p.m. Special exhibitions will be on display in both the John A. Day Gallery and Gallery 110.
