My research agenda focuses on the intersection between family mental health and well-being, parenting, and child well-being in culturally and socio-economically diverse families. In particular, I am interested in the interactions among mother and father involvement, parental efficacy and role construction, co-parenting practices, couple harmony and satisfaction, parental stress and social support, and parent and child attachment security and related emotional outcomes. I am especially interested in children's social-emotional and cognitive well-being, and the factors that support optimal development in childhood. I use a variety of quantitative and qualitative methods to address local and global research questions.
