Chet Barney

Professor of Management. Dr. Barney received his Ph.D. in Business Administration from New Mexico State University. His prior education was in information systems where he earned a Bachelor of Arts with Honors from Utah State University and a Master of Information Systems Management from Brigham Young University. Prior to academia, Dr. Barney worked in both private corporate and state government technology positions.

Leadership & Organizational Behavior

Main research focus is on how job insecurity impacts employee deviance in the workplace. Other areas of research include core self-evaluation, faculty productivity, daylight saving time, consumer behavior, storytelling, and workplace behavior.
