USD Announces April-June CSA Employees of the Month
Recipients receive $150 and a reception ceremony.
Nominees for the award must be a CSA employee employed at USD for one year or longer who maintains exemplary performance of job duties.
Jenny Wilka, program assistant II for the Sanford School of Medicine, was named CSA employee of the month in April.
According to her nomination form, Wilka is willing to go the extra mile, is cooperative and helpful to faculty and staff, and shows team spirit. She is a fantastic teacher and excellent source of information. Her institutional knowledge is invaluable. In addition to her usual work, she goes above and beyond to help teach many aspects of the department manager role.
Jessica Pierret, dental assistant for the Department of Dental Hygiene, was named CSA employee of the month in May.
According to her nomination form, Pierret consistently demonstrates exceptional professionalism, commitment to maintaining a well-organized and efficient office, and a meticulous approach to record keeping and maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records. She adheres to the highest standards of regulatory compliance, hygiene and infection control. She maintains a positive and respectful attitude with both patients and colleagues, creating a welcoming atmosphere. She takes initiative to address patient concerns promptly and professionally, ensuring they feel comfortable and well-cared for during their visits. Pierret is proactive in her responsibilities and consistently anticipates needs which contributes to the overall success and smooth operation of the dental clinic.
Cathy Ganschow, program assistant II for the Department of Biology, was named CSA employee of the month in June.
According to her nomination form, Ganschow consistently proves to be extraordinarily supportive, knowledgeable and adaptable. She promptly takes action, completes tasks efficiently and accurately, and takes initiative to seek clarity and direction. She is committed to excellence and problem-solving while maintaining an upbeat and collegial attitude. Ganshow accomplishes the management activities of the biology department with a great deal of energy, skills for personal interaction, diplomacy, and knowledge of university systems and rules.
