USD Panhellenic Council Receives Awards from the National Panhellenic Conference
USD’s Panhellenic Association is a student organization made up of 10 students who serve as executive board members tasked with overseeing, governing and managing the USD sorority community, with the support of a staff advisor.
The association was recognized for its accomplishments in Panhellenic operations and work to support the sorority experience for women during 2025-2026, receiving awards in the categories of:
- Academic Innovation – Recognized for creativity and innovation in academic resources or programming they provide to the campus community.
- Innovation in Recruitment – Recognized for innovation across all aspects of the recruitment process, including training recruitment counselors, removing barriers to joining, marketing and transparency.
- Innovation in Marketing – Recognized for creativity and success in marketing, including reaching a variety of stakeholders, promoting membership opportunities and building positive relationships.
"I am very proud of the work our Panhellenic Council has done this past year. From establishing new programs to strengthening current ones, they've really committed themselves to the USD sorority community,” said Devin Johansen, assistant director for sorority and fraternity life and advisor for the Panhellenic Association. “It goes to show that members of all our chapters can work together for the betterment of the entire community, and that was recognized with these three awards. By this time next year, we hope to be in the running for the Excellence Award, which recognizes College Panhellenics for excelling in all areas of operations."
