Collaborating with local agencies, the USD Police Department has planned the event for the past nine months. USD Police Chief Bryant Jackson will lead the training scenario designed to enhance the skills and coordination of responders and incident support staff during an emergency. Law enforcement, first responder personnel and role players will be on scene for the simulation.

“The USD Police Department, in collaboration with our public safety partners, is sharing this information to keep the community informed about the increased presence and activity of law enforcement and emergency personnel during the scheduled training exercise,” said Jackson.

Participating agencies include USD; USD Police Department; Vermillion Fire EMS Department; Vermillion Police Department; Clay County Sheriff’s Office; Clay Area Emergency Services Communication Center; Clay County Office of Emergency Management; Yankton Police Department; Yankton Fire Department; South Dakota Highway Patrol; South Dakota Game, Fish and Parks; South Dakota Division of Criminal Investigation; Sanford AirMed; and Wings Air Rescue of Siouxland.
