USD to Celebrate 2025 Vermillion Earth Days April 21-27
This celebration is hosted by Greening Vermillion, a local, non-profit community organization that works to make Vermillion green to support the health of its people, environment and economy.
During this weeklong event, the USD Environmental Club organizes the USD Earth Day Fair & Clothing Swap, which allows USD to interact with the broader Vermillion community by increasing environmental awareness. This year, the university is partnering with Sodexo to provide refreshments to attendees.
“There are more than 20 events this year, including opportunities to volunteer outdoors, learn new skills, watch a movie, discuss a book, make art, enjoy free lunch and more. I hope the variety lets everyone find something they enjoy,” said Anna Moore, instructor in the Department of Sustainability & Environment and board member/Earth Days coordinator with Greening Vermillion.
