The USD Sanford School of Medicine is accredited by the Liaison Committee on Medical Education (LCME) which accredits medical schools in the U.S. and Canada.
The USD Sanford School of Medicine (SSOM) is accredited by the Liaison Committee on Medical Education (LCME), which accredits medical schools in the United States. Each school undergoes a complete accreditation survey at least every eight years. The most recent survey of SSOM occurred in 2017 and resulted in continuing accreditation. The school is currently in preparation for its next site visit, which will occur October 6-8, 2025.
