Sanford School of Medicine Accreditation

The USD Sanford School of Medicine is accredited by the Liaison Committee on Medical Education, which accredits medical schools in the United States. Each school undergoes a complete accreditation survey at least every eight years. The most recent survey of SSOM occurred October 6-8, 2025, and the initial feedback was very positive. As we await an official final report to arrive in February 2026, our medical community can be proud that the excellence we live out each day was recognized.
