Office of Research & Sponsored Programs

The Proposal Assistance Request System (PARS), located in Coyote One Stop, allows USD researchers to generate a ticket to the Office of Research and Sponsored Programs (ORSP), notifying the grant specialists that you plan to submit a proposal. A PARS ticket should be submitted at least 3 business days before the proposal submission date. Once a request has been submitted, your proposal will be assigned to one of our grants specialist staff to individually assist you in the preparation and submission process of your proposal.

Cayuse is the software that ORSP uses to assist in the preparation and submission of proposals. All proposals must have a record that is routed to the appropriate contacts across campus before the proposal is submitted. A grant specialist will guide researchers through this process. Pivot-RP is a comprehensive database of funding opportunities and collaborators across all disciplines. All faculty, staff, and students at USD have free access to this resource. After curating an advanced search, users can choose to receive weekly email alerts of updates or new opportunities. Users can also browse the database of scholars for possible collaboration opportunities.
